    ISRAEL AND THE END TIMES

There is a common saying that everything that has a beginning must have an end. This is backed up by the many times we have experienced beginnings and endings in our own lives.

From the Bible, we read that “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” ~Genesis 1:1

While many have tried to debate the reality of this truth, even scientists and cosmologists have found proof that there must have been a beginning that was not accidental but quite intentional and in such marvelous order. We uncover those facts in another article on our website titled; ‘there is no doubt that God is real’

However, today we want to focus more on the ending, particularly discussing the role that Israel plays in the end times.

A time is coming when our world that once had a beginning will have an ending. The purpose of sharing this is so that we can stay vigilant and prepared. We may not know the dates, but we are called to discern the times and seasons like the sons of Issachar in the Bible.

    ISRAEL BECOMES A NATION

Israel has been said to be God’s time clock. When you look at Israel, you’re looking at prophetic fulfillment. Why is that? Why is Israel so key?

Israel as a nation and a people alone has been said to be enough proof of God’s existence. There is no other people group on the face of the earth that has survived two exiles. The restoration of Israel is proof that the Bible is real.

Can a nation be born in a day? Israel was born in a day on the 14th of May 1948. David Ben-Gurion, the head of the Jewish Agency, proclaimed the establishment of the state of Israel and US President Harry S. Truman recognized the new nation on the same day.

When you look at this land and people that have survived throughout history, what the Bible says about Israel is no longer just something we read about but the real-life they have continued to live throughout history.

Why is it that throughout history, the Jewish people have been singled out to be destroyed repeatedly? Why have they been such a target by many evil people? The simple answer is that there is a literal satan who knows that the Jewish people are key to the redemptive plan of humanity in the last days, and he doesn’t want it to happen.

The 144,000 people sealed to spread the gospel in the last days are from all the tribes of Israel. Jesus said to His disciples, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” ~Matthew 24:14

Satan is trying to destroy the plan of God, the story of God, the people of God, and ultimately keep his death sentence from happening. It is important to realize that the Jewish people are key in this plan, and the only reason they have survived it all is that God promised to preserve these people sovereignly.

As Jesus shared with the disciples the events leading up to the end times, He assured them that, “I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.” ~Matthew 24:34

It is believed that once Israel became a nation, this generation would not pass until everything Jesus spoke about the end times comes to pass. Since 1948, we have seen a great number of signs, and many that most do not know or understand. Please consider reading an article on our website titled: ‘The end is at hand, a new beginning’, where we share a lot more about the reality of how much of Biblical prophecies are being fulfilled in the times we are living in now.

    JERUSALEM AT THE CENTER STAGE

Israel is a major center of Bible prophecies. The whole story unfolds in Israel, in this little land that seems to be insignificant in the eyes of the world. However, God declares that Jerusalem will be the land that He touches and the people that He uses.

In 1967, when Jerusalem came back under the rulership of the Jewish people, it released a revival into the world. A great part of that revival was Jewish people returning to God as the blindness came off their eyes. Many Jews began to believe in Jesus Christ as a result of what happened in 1967. The restoration of Jerusalem changed history.

In December 2017, US President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and as Israel was celebrating 70years of being a nation, on the 14th of May 2018, he relocated the US Embassy to Jerusalem. The seemingly insignificant land is slowly being brought to the center stage as we continue to see Bible prophecies fulfilled.

    THE JEWS RETURN TO ISRAEL

Another sign to look out for is the return of the Jewish people to their homeland as prophesied in Jeremiah 16:15, “The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them. ‘For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers’ This is also spoken of in Jeremiah 23:3, 29:14, 31:7-8 which is not just from Babylon but from all the lands they had been driven to.

Over 3.5 million Jews have migrated back to the land of Israel for the last 120 years or so. Coming from all over the world, the east, west, north, and south – literally fulfilling God’s promise in Isaiah 43:5-6

“Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west; I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth’

The gathering back of the Jewish people in modern times, as predicted in Ezekiel 37, holds great promise for the Jews and the world at large as it heralds the second coming of the Messiah. This is to come after the building of a third temple which is said to be a major sign of the second coming.

    THE COMING WAR AGAINST ISRAEL

Both Ezekiel and John talk about a great war that is going to come against Israel in Ezekiel 38 & 39 and Revelation 20:7 respectively. I believe that while most biblical prophecies have come to pass, including Ezekiel 36 & 37 where we see the regathering of the Jews in the land of Israel, this war has not yet been fulfilled. In fact, it is believed to come to fulfillment several years after the antichrist peace treaty mentioned in Daniel 9:27 that will give Israel a false peace, and then the attack will come.

Ancient Persia, which is modern-day Iran, together with other nations, will form an alliance to come against Israel in an attempt to completely wipe them out. However, as John saw in Revelation 20:10, God will keep His covenant with the saints and Israel and destroy these enemies of Israel. Then the devil that will have deceived them will be cast into the lake of fire.

    CONCLUSION

I hope that the articles we write here will motivate you to study the scriptures, particularly on understanding the end times. Apostle John wrote and said,

“Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near” ~Revelation 1:3

There is a Blessing promised to those who read, hear, and keep what is written in this particular book of Revelation. It ultimately tells us how this world is going to end and where we’re going after that. It gives us hope in a world that is swallowed in hopelessness and uncertainty.

Revelation has been called the blessing book, and that’s one of the reasons satan keeps believers from reading this book because he doesn’t want us to have a hold of that special blessing that ministers hope in our hearts. It is a great blessing to know what lies ahead in the future and our part to play in God’s Plan.

God did not give us prophecy to scare us, rather He did so to prepare us for what is to come. If we have our faith and hope in Jesus Christ, we have a refuge and a safe place. It is important to acknowledge that man cannot solve the problems of the world, only the second coming of Jesus Christ will do that and that’s the hope we have in our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is also important that we don’t get stuck on dates. Nobody knows the time but we need to be ready all the time.

Jesus spoke to His disciples and said, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, but only the Father” ~Matthew 24:36

But He did say, “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.” ~Matthew 24:42

We should, therefore, watch for the signs and be committed to our Lord Jesus and to pray for the day is near.

“The end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers” ~1 Peter 4:7

May God continue to keep you. God Bless You smiley
