    Let’s God’s Love Transform You

I bet we all like watching amazing feats that people worldwide do. It can be an inventor creating amazing machines or tools, an athlete performing exceptional skills on the field, your favorite artist releasing a hit song, or a diver discovering gems beneath the waters. We see these incredible things and go, “Wow!”

We are easily fascinated by the achievement of others, but how many times have we ignored what God has done for us? Every day God does something for each one of us, and this fascinates me. When I am in the fields and see the sunset on the horizon, see the clouds and see the ground bring new life, I pause and thank God.

But, the most exciting part is seeing how God takes someone who is bound by alcohol, drugs, prostitution, and all kinds of sinful deeds. God cleans them up, restores their lives, and makes their dead and wasted energy become brand new with a purpose. The reason that Christ came to this Earth was to transform the wasted lives into fruitful lives.

Psalms 103: 11-12 tells us that “God’s love for humanity is as high as the heavens are above the ground. As far as the east is from the west.” So, if you wonder whether there is anyone who loves you, know that God loves you. 1 John 4 tells us that we are loved beyond our understanding, and the source of this unconditional love is God, who gives us life. We should, therefore, love one another because love comes from God.

The discussion about transformation is robust. Transformation is not a word to just throw around because it typically means a fundamental change in our character, nature, or appearance. Transformation signifies a turning point, to something not temporary but permanent. If you take a closer look, transformation points in our lives come from love. The love of God has the power and capacity to transform us.

For instance, knowing Jesus and accepting Him as your savior transforms your nature. The word of God tells us that we become new creations in Jesus;” the new has come, the old has gone.”

We have many flaws in this life, but God helps us change these flaws to become the believers He desires us to be. Philippians 3:14, Paul says that he works towards the perfection of God, but he is yet to attain that. We have come a long way since we allowed God into our lives, and He took away our sins to begin transforming our lives to what he desires. We still have a long way to go. We still have a long way to go, but the greatest news is that God will never stop loving and changing us in His gentle way.

The story of the lame man who used to sit outside the temple’s gates is a clear one that teaches us about how the love of God transforms our lives. This man has been lame from birth, and he did not expect anything to change his circumstance. Peter told him to pick up his mat and walk. Instantly the man was healed.

Even today, many believers are in a similar situation. They feel as if they are “stuck” and the circumstances are beyond control. Instead of entering into God’s destiny, they languish outside the gate, worrying about their relationships, health, finances, and any other circumstances that hinder them from trusting God.

Fortunately, the story of the lame man comes to a happy ending. This can also be the same case for you. Jesus wants you to encounter His love so that His power can transform you. Maybe the lame man only hoped for a handout that day, but Jesus gave him more.

God wants to lift you the same way; the lame man was lifted through His power. No matter how long you have been paralyzed in your life, Jesus wants to lift you today. If you have grown into a life of regrets and sadness, His love is there to transform you. Genesis 12:2 tells us that God wants to show us His love and power. He wants to change our lives and eliminate obstacles hindering us from fulfilling our destiny. He desires to bless us so that we can be a blessing to others.
