    Powerful Understanding “THE Seven Seals”; Revelation!

    Listen to this article

    A Gigantic step in understanding what the seven seals are in the Book of revelation?yes

    Now there are 37 million churches in the world with 34,000 (Christian) denominations.

    So with 34,000 Christian denominations all teaching something different, how in the world can one learn the absolute truth?

    This is why it is important to develop a relationship with God, study the scriptures, and ask God for help and guidance. I’m going to share with you what the seven seals are, the real truth, you as the reader have a responsibility to ask God and continue to study so that you may gain an understanding, and I’m sure once you have prayed and have study, then you will come up with the same outcome. The truth is the truth, for it does not matter if the entire world is against you. Always be humble and grateful when you gain knowledge and always ask God for wisdom and understanding.  I want the best for you; I really do care.

    Please study and read this carefully for a full understanding.

    In revelation chapter 5: 1

    And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

    No one was able to open the Book; however, we read in verse; 5:12

    Saying with a loud voice, worthy is the Lamb (JESUS) that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.

    This can be a complicated topic; however, before I get into the details, let us nail this!

    To make it simple, THE SEVEN SEALS is the history of the earth for the past 6 thousand years, starting from Adam and Eve’s time. We are about to enter the 7th Seal, which will be about the year 2033. So we are currently in the 6th seal, which is coming to an end.

    Many believe that the seals are 7 plagues poured out in the last days. That is not the case; that would be the 7 trumpets, 7 vials, etc. God had warned us that many would lie and mislead others. The study, pray and seek God for the scriptures take years to understand and so be very careful in your study so that you don’t mislead anyone. I will tell you why and show you the pieces of the puzzle that fit perfectly.

    Each Seal lasted approximately 1000 years, and the first Seal was opened during Adam and Eve.

    Now, if you understand the history of the bible well, this will make perfect sense. First, however, we’ll cover each Seal in the Book of revelation chapter 6 with some highlighted notes for the rest of us.

    Let us study Revelation 6:

    Christ opens the six seals, and John sees the events therein—In the fifth Seal, he sees the Christian martyrs, and in the sixth, he sees the signs of the times.

    We live during the 6th Seal, which is coming to an end; let us cover the seals and what happens during those seals. Please keep in mind this only scratches the surface, for there is so much more to all of this.

    Notice each seal has an approximate date on which the seal was opened and when it ended.

    THE FIRST SEAL – YEAR 3967 to 2967 B.C.

    1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

    2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow, and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

    NOTES FOR THE FIRST SEAL

    White horse = Victory

    Bow = Warfare

    Crown = Conqueror

    In Revelation 6:1–2, Elder Bruce R. McConkie said, “The most transcendent happenings” referred to in these verses “involved Enoch and his ministry. And it is interesting to note that what John saw was not the establishment of Zion and its removal to heavenly spheres, but the unparalleled wars in which Enoch, as a general over the armies of the saints, ‘went forth conquering and to conquer.’

    The Second Seal – The YEAR 2967 to 1967 B.C.

    3 And when he had opened the second Seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.

    4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

    Notes For The Second Seal

    Redhorse = Bloodshed

    Sword = War and Destruction

    As recorded in the scriptures, widespread wickedness and violence characterized this time period, which included the Great Flood during the days of Noah (see Genesis 6–11; Moses 7:24–43; 8:1–30). The rider of the red horse had the power to “take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another” (Revelation 6:4).

    THE 3RD SEAL – THE YEAR 1967 to 967 B.C.

     5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse, and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

    6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

    NOTES FOR THE THIRD SEAL

    Black horse = Famine

    Balances = High prices for food

    “A measure of wheat” would feed an adult for a day and cost a penny under these famine conditions. “Penny” is translated from the Greek word dēnarion, which referred to a Roman coin that some estimate was worth the typical daily wage of a laborer. Thus, a person could purchase only enough food to live on with a whole day’s wages, indicating extreme famine prices. In contrast, barley was less expensive and was thus eaten by the poor. As recorded in the scriptures, famines are characteristic of this time period (see Genesis 41–42; Abraham 1:30; 2:1, 17, 21).

    The Fourth SEAL – YEAR 967 B.C. to 33 A.D.

    7 And when he had opened the Fourth Seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

    8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with Death, and with the beasts of the earth.

    NOTES FOR THE Fourth SEAL

    Pale horse = Death

    Death and Hell = Destruction of the wicked and their reception into spirit prison (see Isaiah 5:14)

    As recorded in the scriptures, great warring empires characterized this era: Assyria, Egypt, Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome. Having rejected the warnings of prophets such as Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Amos, the kingdoms of Israel and Judah often found themselves victims of these conquering empires. As a result, Israel and Judah also fought against one another.

    THE Fifth SEAL – YEAR 33 A.D. to 1033 A.D.

    9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar, the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

    10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

    11 And white robes were given unto every one of them, and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow-servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

    NOTES FOR THE 5TH SEAL

    Altar = Sacrifice

    Souls = Martyrs, Christians killed for their beliefs

    Many early Christians, including nearly all of the original Apostles, gave their lives as martyrs. John saw the Christian martyrs “under the altar,” suggesting that their lives were given in sacrifice to God’s service, much like the sacrificial animals offered upon the altar of the temple. Because they gave up their lives “for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held,” they were given “white robes,” symbolic of purity (see Revelation 7:13–14; Bom:3 Nephi 27:19).

    THE Sixth SEAL –  The YEAR 1033 to 2033

    12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

    13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

    14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

    15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

    16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

    17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

    NOTES FOR THE SIXTH SEAL

    This thousand-year period will continue until just before Jesus Christ returns in glory and reigns personally on the earth. John noted seven signs that will accompany this time: an earthquake, the darkened sun, the moon becoming as blood, stars falling, and the heavens opening like a scroll.

    In these verses, seven men are also identified: kings, great men, rich men, chief captains, mighty men, bondmen, and free men. The number seven suggests completeness or wholeness: no enemies of God will escape His wrath in the last days.

     There is no doubt in my mind that the seven seals cover the space of seven thousand years. You’re invited to look over the many articles on my website to help you put together the many exciting pieces.

    What helped me was knowledge in the scriptures, a couple of examples, what Seal did Jesus die and pay the price for our sins? See how it fits?

     It was the fourth Seal;

    Revelation 6: 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and the name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with Death, and with the beasts of the earth.

     When Jesus Christ was resurrected, it was the first day of the 5th Seal. We understand that most of the Apostles were murdered for their testimony of Jesus Christ. That would mean that the 5th Seal would make sense for that time period.

    It was the fifth Seal we read; Revelation 6: 9

    And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar, the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

    It is during the seventh seal that Jesus Christ returns. Then, at the end of the sixth and the beginning of the seventh seal, the first resurrection happens, the rapture.

    The Saints of God who keep the commandments and have a relationship with God and his son Jesus Christ will be the first to be caught up. What a moment that will be.

    That concludes this article on what the seven seals are, and I hope that this has been a great help towards your understanding of the Book of revelation. I want you to understand that I care and I make no money from sharing this with you, and I believe it is essential that we as Christians stick together, pull together because things will get rough, for we are living in the last few years that lead up to the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ.

    Please pray every day and developed a relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus Loves you, and no matter what you are going through, hang in there to let us be a light to the world and strive to make a difference. I want the best for you. May God be with you in your heart, have a great day!
