There has been lots of confusion coming from mystic tellers, the word in general, as well as the church. Therefore, it is essential to pray for the church in general when people are not even allowed to worship in places of worship. But also understand what the Bible proclaimed should happen through the prophets of God and what has already transpired. In this way, we will all be ready for the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Israel becoming a nation on 15th May 1948

The prophecies of Ezekiel 36 and 37 came to pass as soon as Israel transformed Palestine from a desert to land that yields fruit. Also, their covenant with their God was renewed on Pentecost when God made Israel a nation renewing his vows to them as his people (Ezekiel 36:33-35). Also, the United States finally moved its embassy to the Jewish State, recognizing Jerusalem as the capital. Therefore, biblically handing back Jerusalem to the hands of the Jews who acknowledge this as their homeland.

    False prophecy

The gospel has been successfully spread globally, and some seem to understand it more than others. And while this can be tied to the gift of the holy spirit that grants believers discernment. Some preachers use the word to exhort believers and teach incorrect and misleading Biblical interpretations, drawing Christians further away from the church. Even worse, some prophetic speakers claim to have the ability to tell when the world ends. The Bible marks the return of Jesus as unknown to all. (Mathew 7:15) This has created a lot of controversy over whether God exists because their proclamations never come to pass, eliciting lots of questions (Heb 10:24-25, Rom 2:1-2); people indeed have so much trust in their church leaders. Still, Jesus was also a teacher whom people believed and had so much faith in. He taught the congregations only the truth and performed miracles by the power of God, however.

    Severe persecution of Christians

There has been the destruction of churches and Christians martyrdom in countries like Russia and China in 2018-2019. Also, churches are being harassed by the government to stop Christians from congregating in churches. Church leaders have been arrested as well as Christians. While all these might be to keep the people safe, it is still contrary to how Christians responded to God’s wrath on his people. They came together to pray and fast for forgiveness. But today, the only way for the church to convey the word of God being through modern technology and social media. (John 15:18–19)

The Bible clearly states that catastrophe will strike the earth in the wake of God, turning nature against humanity. Therefore, things like forest fires, calamities, earthquakes, and floods have also swept across the world that has become the order of the day and are significant proof of these things. The most recent scary ordeals are the Australian forest fire, floods in parts of the US and Jakarta, earthquakes in Puerto Rico, plagues like locusts in Africa, and now a cruel disease killing millions of people worldwide. Humanity is living on the edge, trying to establish what is trying to finish the earth from meteorites to comets. (Mathew 24:7-8)

    Wars and violence

There is so much tension in the world due to the looming third world War. These are irrespective of the many treaties that have already been formed to ensure peace between nations. There are over 10k nuclear bombs and weapons globally that are incomparable to those used during World War II. All these newly developed weapons could set the world ablaze and subject the human race to extinction. Still, countries like Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc., have been at war for as long as anyone can remember. All these facts are driving at the possibility of the biblical war Armageddon being more severe than anyone could ever imagine. (Matthew 24:6–7 & John 16:16) There has also been a rampant rise in crime and humanity killings. Basically, in pursuit of survival, people have turned against each other to steal for survival. After all, most countries’ economies have been hugely hit with multitudes losing jobs or sources of income.

    Conclusion

Remember, it is in times like these that, as Christians, we should watch out and pray to be worthy of a place in heaven as promised to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. (Luke 21:36)
