    Why Do Bad Things Happen?

God Doesn’t Make Bad Things Happen.

Do you wonder why God would allow evil and destruction in this world?

When you face challenges in your own life, do you wonder if God is there?

Do you wonder why things happen the way they do?

God is pure love and wants the best for you. It is not God’s will that bad things happen to people. When bad things happen, God feels our pain and works to bring out the best in a bad situation.

Things happen for a reason, but that does not suggest that God had anything to do with it. We have the freedom to choose, so if we do evil things and don’t keep the commandments, it can also affect other people.

On Sept. 11, 2001, something so far from God’s will and even more shocking to be committed in God’s name. However, the love and charity that poured out of many people, not only in the United States but around the world, was powerful! The cynics say that this was temporary and fleeting, but didn’t a part of us change forever?

Sept. 11, 2001, had nothing to do with God’s will, and he didn’t make this event happen, or will it, but God didn’t abandon us. God was there in a big way, working through the same human freedom and choice he gave those evildoers.

There is a reason certain things happen, and much of it has to do with our God-given right to choose. I can tell you that on Sept. 11, 2001, things did not happen the way that most people believe they happened; it was a big lie and was set up to take away our freedoms, which is another topic.

God had warned us just how deceptive this world would become in our day, leading to the return of Jesus Christ.

The United States Deep State Government is hiding behind the scenes, and they planned this attack for their pure evil agenda. For decades there have been men behind the scenes working to destroy and take down the United States to do all they can do bring down the USA government at all costs. So bad things do happen, but understand this, for this has nothing to do with God.

The evil has more to do with greed, power, money, oil, and so much more, and it is the corruption, sin that causes loss of life, death, etc.

To blame God for the evil we do as a whole is so wrong. God is telling us to keep the commandments to live a life of peace and love. There are many anti-christ on the earth today doing the will of Satan.

Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?

⦁ Bad things often occur when people make bad decisions. Those decisions can affect others.

⦁ Bad things can be turned to our good if we seek to do God’s will.

⦁ By enduring our trials well, we become stronger and more understanding.

⦁ Rather than ask, “Why me?” ask, “What can I learn from this?”

⦁ We can turn to the Savior in any trial because He knows how we feel and can help us.

No one escapes suffering in this life. We all go through some pain, sadness, and adversity. God allows us to go through trials to be tested, for we have our free agency, our freedom to choose.

Bad things can happen to good people when people misuse their agency.

Those who make poor choices hurt themselves and sometimes other people, even good people. Crime and divorce, for instance, are often the result of poor decisions.

But poor choices don’t cause all suffering. Difficult circumstances like disease, accidents, starvation, or natural disasters are a part of mortal life.

Yes, our sins and the poor choices of others can impact us, bringing misery, stress—even genocide and war. And yes, bodies designed to decay and die inevitably bring pain, limitations, and weakness, while unexpected worldly events like fire and hurricanes cause destruction and loss.

Suffering is a blessing. As President James E. Faust stated, “There is a divine purpose in the adversities we encounter every day. They prepare, they purge, they purify, and thus they bless.”

In addition, the pain deepens our ability to feel joy, empathy, love, and charity.

I think the overarching reason Heavenly Father allows us to suffer is that He is lovingly helping us develop a higher capacity for pain. Undoubtedly there are millions of moments Heavenly Father has shielded us from hurt or torment. Still, like any loving parent, He understands that we must learn how to confront and overcome devastating fear, sorrow, and pain if we are to reach our eternal potential.

What the Lord desires is that we love one another and choose to obey Him. But some do not. They are “without affection.” Everyone on earth has agency, and sometimes those who misuse it impact many innocent people.

Many of the bad things that happen are contrary to God’s will. But remember that man’s will is temporary, and ultimately God’s will is what will be done.

There are other questions in all of this, too. How many acts of deliberate evil has God prevented? How many of these tragedies could have been much worse? There is no way we could know. Sometimes we see things on the news and ask, “How could God allow this to happen?”

Could it be that one day we’ll discover that God prevented much more than He allowed?

How many times has someone prayed that “we might get home in safety,” and we did? How many traffic accidents has He helped you avoid? How many times has He inspired you to do something that saved someone from injury? We will never know in this life.

The plan of happiness allows for our free agency, and therefore it also allows for evil. There is no flaw in the plan.

Romans 8:28 Because of Him, all things that we experience will work together for our good.

Because we had not yet received physical bodies, we fought the War in Heaven without swords, guns, or bombs. But the fighting was just as intense as any modern war, and there were billions of casualties.

The premortal battle was fought with words, ideas, debate, and persuasion (see Revelation 12:7–9, 11).

Satan’s strategy was to frighten people. He knew that fear is the best way to destroy faith. He may have used arguments like these: “It’s too hard.” “It’s impossible to make it back clean.” “There’s too much risk.” “How do you know you can trust Jesus Christ?” He was very jealous of the Savior.

Thankfully, God’s plan triumphed over Satan’s lies. God’s plan involved a moral agency for humankind and a great sacrifice.

So you may have lost a loved one, but the greatest blessing is in God’s eternal plan that if we strive to become closer to God, you will see them again.

There are horrible acts that happened on this planet that sicken even me, like in the days of Noah. It is the same wickedness that causes God to cause a flood to destroy evil off the face of this earth.

We are fast approaching the time that Jesus will return; when he says enough is enough. He has given us our freedom to choose, and for the most part, we blew it. Many have excepted Christ and will be rewarded for their actions, and what a blessing that will be.

The best way to know God is to pray and read the “New Testament” and read the words of Jesus Christ with a humble heart.

Remember that God loves you, and he wants the best for you. Love Trumps Everything; love is God; Love Is Jesus; love is the Holy Spirit.

We must start by having faith in the true and living God, pray and talk with him every day; you can know that God is real.

I know that God is Real; I Understand And There Is No Doubt.

    • I have often felt the spirit, the Holy Spirit, for it is real, a true blessing of peace and joy!
    • Prophecies – I have considerable knowledge of the many prophecies that have taken place, and to see them come to life is proof that God is real and that testifies that the scriptures are authentic.
    • The heavens, earth, plants, and animals, and people all have a design. People have ears to hear, legs to walk, hands to build, eyes to see, and food to eat, and so much more.  So life testifies that there has to be a creator. There has to be a designer.

So no matter what happens, if you believe in Jesus Christ and have faith, pray and keep the commandments, there is real hope. But, if you still refuse to accept, please open your eyes. You’re Invited; lets us love one another.

I genuinely want the best for you; God Bless All.

    Sincerely,
    Timothy Thompson
